How do I book an appointment?

You can book online through our booking page, or call the spa directly. We recommend booking at least a few days in advance, especially for weekend slots.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a 50% fee, which helps us keep availability fair for all our clients.

Is sugaring less painful than waxing?

Many clients find sugaring gentler on the skin than traditional waxing, since the paste only adheres to hair (not skin) and is applied at body temperature. It’s also a great option for sensitive skin.

What should I do before and after my facial?

Arrive with a clean face if possible, and avoid sun exposure or exfoliating treatments for a day or two beforehand.

Afterward, keep makeup off for a few hours, stay hydrated, and follow any specific aftercare your esthetician recommends.

Do you rent studio space to independent beauty professionals?

Yes, we lease studio space within the spa to independent estheticians and beauty professionals. Reach out directly for current availability and terms.

What To Expect For First Facial

Before You Arrive

Come with a clean face if you can — less to work through, more time on your skin.

Skip the exfoliants, retinol, or sun exposure for a day or two beforehand and if you’ve had any recent procedures, breakouts, or reactions, mention them when you book.

We’ll build the treatment around your skin, not a script.

The Consultation

Every facial starts with a conversation.

Your esthetician will ask about your skin — dry, oily, reactive, tired, all of it — and what you’re hoping to get out of the hour. This is the moment to be specific. “My skin feels dull” or “I broke out last month and I’m nervous” gives us more to work with than “just the basic one.”

What Happens On The Table

Expect a cleanse, a closer look at your skin under light, and a gentle exfoliation to clear the way for whatever comes next — extractions if needed, a masque suited to your skin, and a facial massage that does more than feel good; it helps with circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Most treatments close with serum, moisturizer, and SPF if it’s daytime. Sensations vary. Cleansing and massage should feel relaxing. Extractions, if needed, might feel like brief pressure — never sharp pain.

Speak up if anything feels wrong; a good esthetician wants that feedback, not silence.

Right After

Some redness or warmth in the skin is normal and usually fades within an hour or two. Skip makeup for the rest of the day if you can, avoid touching your face, and stay out of direct sun.

Your skin has just been worked on — let it settle.

In The Days That Follow

Skin often looks brighter within a day or two, once any initial redness fades.

If you had extractions, you might notice a couple of small spots purging — that’s the skin clearing, not a setback. Keep up with SPF, and don’t introduce new active ingredients into your routine for a few days while your skin recovers.

Q&A About Sugaring

What is sugaring, exactly?

Sugaring is an ancient hair removal method using a paste made from sugar, water, and lemon — no synthetic resins, no strips. The paste is applied at body temperature and removes hair in the direction it grows, which means less trauma to the skin and follicle.

How is sugaring different from waxing?

Wax adheres to skin as well as hair, and is applied hot, against the direction of growth. Sugar paste sticks only to the hair, goes on warm rather than hot, and is removed in the same direction hair grows — gentler overall, and easier on sensitive or reactive skin.

Does sugaring hurt?

There’s some discomfort, as with any hair removal, but most clients find it noticeably milder than waxing. First sessions tend to feel more intense; it gets easier as your hair adjusts to a consistent removal cycle.

How long does my hair need to be before an appointment?

About a quarter-inch — roughly two to three weeks of growth if you’ve shaved before, or four weeks if you’re coming from waxing. Too short and the sugar can’t grip; your esthetician can advise if you’re unsure.

What areas can be sugared?

Nearly anywhere — brows, lip, underarms, arms, legs, bikini, and Brazilian. If you’re newer to the process, starting with a smaller area is a good way to see how your skin responds before booking a larger session.

How long does it last?

Most clients see three to four weeks of smoothness. Because sugaring pulls hair from the root consistently, regrowth often comes in finer and sparser over time compared to shaving.

How should I prep before my appointment?

Skip lotion or oil on the day of your appointment, exfoliate lightly a day or two before, and avoid sun exposure or tanning beforehand. Loose, breathable clothing afterward helps too, especially for bikini or underarm areas.

What about aftercare?

Keep the area clean, avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming, and tight clothing for about 24 hours, and hold off on any sun exposure or exfoliation for a couple of days. Gentle exfoliation starting a few days later helps prevent ingrown hairs as new growth comes in.

Is sugaring good for sensitive skin?

Yes — it’s often recommended specifically for sensitive or reactive skin, since the paste doesn’t adhere to live skin cells the way wax does, which means less irritation, redness, and risk of lifting the skin.

Can I get sugared if I'm on medication or have a skin condition?

Let us know beforehand if you’re using retinoids, are pregnant, or have a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis. In most cases we can adjust the approach, but it helps to flag anything relevant when you book.
